The highway interconnects the Tiruchi to Madurai Highway (NH 45B), Tiruchi to Pudukottai to Karaikkudi Highway (NH 210) and Tiruchi to Thanjavur Highway (NH 67).
NH 210This is a national Highway that connects Karaikkudi with Trichy and Ramanathapuram. It starts from the Municipal Office Road in Tiruchy. The highway crosses two heritage centers, namely Pudukottai and Karaikudi and joins with Devipattinam in Ramanathapuram. The highway is ideal for locals in Karaikudi, as it connects with the Tiruchy Airport. NH 210 has four lane paths from Tiruchy to Karaikkudi. These lanes are constructed and maintained by an Indo-Russian Company.
SH 29The State Highway 29 runs from Thanjavur, crosses Karaikkudi and ends at the Sayalhudi road. The high is ideal for those who wish to step into Wayanadu. The state highway is managed by the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation.
